There Is No Class Select
WARDOGS doesn't ask you to pick a class at spawn. You have all six at once, and the one you level is whichever one you happen to be feeding with your actions that life.
Six Separate Bars
Assault, Medic, Support, Recon, Driver and Pilot each have their own XP track and their own level. Grinding one does nothing for the other five.
The Action Picks The Class
Heal someone and it's Medic XP. Fly a crate in and it's Pilot XP. You never declare a role — the game reads it off what you actually did.
They Add Up
Your overall WARDOG Level appears to be the sum of all six class levels — see the note below.
The Six Classes
What each one is for, what feeds it, and what it gates behind itself. Cash values for the same actions are on Money.
Assault
FightingThe default combat track. Kills feed whichever class the weapon belongs to, and most infantry weapons are Assault-class, so this is what levels while you're shooting people. It's the highest XP per action in the game, and the only track where dying costs you your kit.
Gates — GALIL at Lvl 10, M4 at Lvl 20, FAL at Lvl 35.
Medic
80 XP per healHealing and reviving teammates. A basic bandage heal pays 80 XP and $400, and it only needs an injured squadmate rather than a downed one — which makes it the most repeatable XP source in the game. Reviving pays $100–$900. See Medical for the gear.
Gates — MP5 at Lvl 15, Super-45 at Lvl 35.
Support
Building & supplyBuilding structures, running supplies, and repairing. Building pays three separate ways rather than once on completion: 1 XP per hammer hit, 4 XP on the marked build point, and 15 XP for finishing. Supply crate purchases and supplied-player assists pay 25 XP each. See Deployables and Hammers.
Gates — M500 at Lvl 10, M249 SAW at Lvl 15, PKM at Lvl 30.
Recon
XP not confirmedSpotting for the team. A Spot Assist credits Recon when a teammate kills a target you marked — you get the reward without taking the fight. The XP and cash amounts haven't been confirmed yet, so Recon is the one class we can't compare against the other five.
Gates — SV98 at Lvl 19, MK22 at Lvl 25, BMR-308 at Lvl 30, AMR 50 at Lvl 35.
Driver
50 XP per deliveryGround vehicles. Delivering a teammate to the Control Zone pays 50 XP and $300–$450, with another 50 XP and $500 if they survive about ten seconds after getting out. Kills scored from inside a ground vehicle credit Driver rather than Assault, which is why unlocking the L2A6 tank at Level 35 is the fastest Driver route once you can absorb the risk.
Gates — Ural at Lvl 4; L2A6 tank at Lvl 35. See Ground Vehicles.
Pilot
750 XP per palletHelicopters. Dropping a supply pallet into the zone pays 750 XP — the single highest confirmed XP value for any one action in WARDOGS, roughly nine times a Medic heal. A small crate drop pays 250 XP. Air transport pays the same delivery XP as Driver. See Air Vehicles.
Gates — UH-1Y at Lvl 10.
Which One Should You Level?
Want The Fastest XP?
Combat pays the most per action, and Pilot pallet drops pay the most of any single non-combat action. Full comparison on Speed Leveling.
Want To Stay Solvent?
Medic and Support earn steadily without putting your kit in a gunfight. See Fast Money.
Chasing A Specific Weapon?
Level the class that gates it — the FAL needs Assault 35, the PKM needs Support 30. Nothing else unlocks them.
Just Want WARDOG Level?
Any class works, since they sum. Pick whichever action you enjoy repeating — the total climbs either way.
On the summing rule — One captured example matched exactly: Assault 7 + Medic 8 + Support 5 + Recon 13 + Driver 3 + Pilot 2 came to WARDOG Level 38. That's a strong pattern from a single data point, not a proven formula, and we'll say so until a second example confirms it.
Common Questions
What classes are in WARDOGS?
There are six: Assault, Medic, Support, Recon, Driver and Pilot. Each has its own separate XP track and its own level, and grinding one does nothing for the other five.
How do you choose a class in WARDOGS?
You don't. WARDOGS has no class select at spawn — you have all six at once, and the one that levels is whichever you feed with your actions. Heal someone and it's Medic XP; fly a crate in and it's Pilot XP.
Which WARDOGS class levels fastest?
Pilot has the single highest confirmed XP action in the game at 750 XP for dropping a supply pallet, roughly nine times a Medic heal. Combat pays more per action overall, but it risks your kit in a way the support classes don't.
Do tank kills count as Assault or Driver XP in WARDOGS?
Driver. Kills scored from inside a ground vehicle credit Driver rather than Assault, which is why unlocking the L2A6 tank at Level 35 is the fastest Driver route once you can absorb the risk.
Is WARDOG Level the sum of your class levels?
It appears to be. One captured example matched exactly: Assault 7 + Medic 8 + Support 5 + Recon 13 + Driver 3 + Pilot 2 came to WARDOG Level 38. That's a strong pattern from a single data point, not a proven formula.
